We're proud to announce that Golda H. Hartman, MD, will serve as an advisor to the company on its Yext for Healthcare product.

Currently, Hartman serves as Vice President at Music Audience Exchange (MAX), where she is responsible for the company's Health and Wellness categories. For nearly a decade, Hartman has combined her clinical experience as a pediatrician with her background in marketing to navigate online healthcare strategies. Prior to her work at MAX, Dr. Hartman built the Healthcare Division at ReachLocal, a global marketing services company and Google AdWords premier SMB partner. She has been influential in paving the way for service-line driven search engine marketing (SEM) in the healthcare industry.

"This is a quickly changing landscape. Golda's expertise as a practicing physician, combined with her extensive knowledge of digital marketing, makes her a unique and critical resource for our healthcare customers," states Howard Lerman, Yext Co-Founder & CEO. "We're honored to have her join us in this advisory role, and look forward to making even greater strides in the healthcare industry with her guidance."

Yext for Healthcare makes it easy to manage information and content about physicians and facilities across the PowerListings® network of maps, apps, social networks and search engines — including Google, Apple, Bing, Yahoo, and Facebook — which patients use to find providers.

Yext's recent analysis of 1,800 physicians and healthcare facilities — across 15,000 listings — uncovered a full blown crisis in healthcare data. In an industry where minutes can mean life or death, Yext found:

  • Nearly one-third (31.5%) lacked any online local listing. That's 3.6x greater than the 'unlisted' percentage of other businesses (8.68%).
  • Of the listed healthcare facilities, 48% contained basic address errors that could result in misdirected patients.
  • 29% of those listed healthcare facilities were also missing accurate phone numbers.

"Updated and accurate listings are imperative to patient satisfaction, which is also the cornerstone of the new model of reimbursement," says Hartman. "Neglecting to address location data for physicians and surgeons has a direct effect on the patient experience. Physician focus should remain on patient care rather than attempting to update numerous listing sites, especially when Yext's technology exists to do so with such accuracy. I am excited to champion Yext as we embark on perfect location data for every physician on every device."

A New Orleans native, Hartman holds an MD from Louisiana State University and completed her residency in Pediatrics at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. She is actively licensed and board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics.
