Earlier this month, Yext's LGBTQ Employee Resource Group (ERG), Express held its first community service event at God's Love We Deliver, where they prepared meals to deliver to members of the local New York City community. During the day, Yexters packaged meals, ladled soup, chopped vegetables, and prepared casseroles for the organization.
God's Love We Deliver is New York City's leading provider of meals to people who are too sick to shop or cook for themselves. Founded in 1985 when one woman began delivering food on her bicycle to a man dying from AIDS, God's Love We Deliver now prepares 6,200 meals each weekday, delivering them to clients living with life-altering illnesses.
Express is a newly formed ERG with the mission to foster a safe and inclusive workplace, allowing LGBTQ employees to bring their "whole selves" to work, with additional goals of boosting Yext's reputation as great place for LGBTQ employees to work, providing networking opportunities, and forging partnerships with LGBTQ nonprofits.
