The Engineering Team at Yext consists of over 70 talented programmers and developers hard at work building custom, direct integrations with publishers in the PowerListings® Network. And they don't settle for simple API integrations. They're developing custom feature sets — unique to the industry — that go far beyond what can be updated with manual submission or basic API access. This is because every single publisher offers a unique and distinct experience. And to drive truly rich consumer experiences on each one, you need to have direct and definitive control of your data.

Healthcare is a great example. Our Healthcare Knowledge Engine offers direct integrations with top healthcare sites (including Vitals.com, Wellness.com, and EZDoctor) that enable healthcare providers to list critical physician information like admitting hospitals, insurance accepted, conditions treated, and more.

Our partnership with Snapchat enables brands to go from geofence to live geofilters quickly. And then there's the detailed knowledge like event calendars, staff biographies, product info, and service lists consumers can access across dozens of services in our network — all made possible by Yext's custom integrations. Yext makes things like managing your Google My Business Analytics, reviewing user-suggested changes, and controlling your menus seamless and centralized.

Beyond those features, our Intelligent Search Tracker enables you to measure not only how you're ranking on intelligent services across the web but also the actual likelihood a customer will select your business based on how you appear.

Yext's custom approach to API integrations has a fan in Loren Baker, the founder of Search Engine Journal:

Yext is always innovating and looking for new, more efficient, and more effective ways to help companies attract and serve customers online. That's definitely a better way than standing still.

Next up in Part 6, we talk about another way Yext is better: consistency. I also recommend that you check out my full whitepaper, A Better Way with Yext, where I provide a deep-dive into how Yext helps businesses of every size manage their digital knowledge (while debunking a few myths along the way).
