Dr. Colleen McCain, DVM

Hello, I know it is difficult to choose a veterinarian. I hope to make it a little simpler by letting you know some things about me. I graduated in 2000 from Michigan State University. Yes, I grew up in Michigan. Love the warmth of California, miss the season changes of Michigan. I opened Elk Grove in November of 2004. We have so many pets that I have been seeing since we opened. It has given me great pleasure to be a part of pets lives in such a positive way. I join Banfield in the belief that preventative care (vaccines, spay/neuter/dentistry) will help pets live longer. As being a pet lover myself I share the desire for pets to live long and healthy. My hobby is taking snap shots while hiking. I only torture the team members and clients who like looking at photos. Dr. Salazar joined the Elk Grove team in 2007. She is passionate about all pets care, including birds, reptiles, and rodents. If you can bring the pet in, she will see it.
