 Dr. Bradley E. Habermehl | Dr. Habermehl graduated from Bentley High school in the class of 1981. He went to college at Ferris State University and earned his associates degree in 1984. Following his graduation from Ferris State University, Dr. Habermehl then attended college at Illinois College of Optometry, and received his Doctor of Optometry Degree in 1988.
Dr. Habermehl began his own private group general practice in Optometry after he received his Doctor of Optometry degree. This practice was located in Flint, Michigan.
Dr. Habermehl has also been a member of both the Michigan Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association since 1984 (23years). He has also been an active member of the contact lens section of the American Optometric Association since 1988. On October 25, 2003 he was board certified in vision development and therapy by the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Bradley served as the Chairman of the Environmental Vision Committee of the Michigan Optometric Association from 1991 – 1992. During 1991-1992, Dr. Habermehl was also the president of the Rotary Club of Burton, Michigan while also serving a term as the Scholarship Chairman for the same club (1991-1994).
Many awards were given to Dr. Habermehl, such as the Rotarian of the Year for 1992-1993. He also won this same award two more times (2000-2001 and 2002-2003).
Governor John Engler appointed Bradley to the Michigan State Board of Examiners in Optometry for a term ending June, 1996. He was also reappointed two times by Engler. Bradley’s term ended in 2004.
Dr. Habermehl also worked with the Michigan State Board of Examiners in Optometry. He was the Vice-chairman from October 1999 to 2002. In 2002 he was appointed the Chairman of the board. He served from October 2002 to 2005.
Dr. Habermehl is currently the President-Elect for the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.
Bradley Habermehl was married on July 19, 1986 to Cindy Habermehl. Since then, they have two children, Chad and Kylee.
Dr. Habermehl also enjoys martial arts. He is a Second Degree Black Belt of Tang Soo Do-Moo Duk Kwan Karate. |
