Dr. Stephen Estner

Finding My Profession. Dr. Estner’s introduction to chiropractic was at about age 16, when he suffered a lower back injury. He attended to a chiropractor and had near immediate relief of his pain. Over the next few years, he went for maintenance treatments, which continued throughout college. Following college, Dr. Estner became a commodities broker on Wall Street. Due to the high job stress level, he increased his chiropractic maintenance visits to one time per week. Realizing it was the stress of the job, he asked his chiropractor Dr. Carl Pesa for some career advice. Dr. Pesa advised him to consider leaving commodities and become a chiropractor himself. Pursuing Excellence. In the fall of 1993 Dr. Estner began his pursuit of a new and exciting profession at the Life University School of Chiropractic in Marietta, Ga. At the time, it was the largest chiropractic class in history. He graduated in 1997 and went to work with Dr. Pesa in New York. In 1998 Dr. Estner met his wife Elizabeth (of Providence) and they moved to Arizona. He opened two offices with a partner, one in Scottsdale and one in Phoenix. During the three years in Arizona they had two daughters and decided to move back to Rhode Island to be closer with their family. Practicing in Rhode Island.In 2000 Dr. Estner opened the Cranston location. Then in 2004 a second location was opened in East Providence, which was recently relocated to Pawtucket. Dr. Estner is a staff physician at Women and Infants Hospital and often sees patients at the Women’s Primary Care Clinic. He works closely with many Cranston medical doctors to co-manage spinal conditions. Dr. Estner is a proud member and former marketing director for the Chiropractic Society of Rhode Island and a former board member of the Cranston Chamber of Commerce.
