Shelly Nilsson, DVM
Dr. Nilsson is a Banfield Certified Chief of Staff. She graduated from the University of California - Davis. She joined the Practice in August of 2003.
Jan Balcar, DVM
Dr. Balcar graduated from the University of Saskatchewan, Western College of Veterinary Medicine and joined the Practice in July of 2000.
Philippe Boutet, DVM
Dr. Boutet graduated from the University of Montreal and joined the Practice in July of 2007.
Jennifer Hayden, DVM
Dr. Hayden was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA. She double majored in Integrative Biology and Environmental Science at UC Berkeley then went to UC Davis for her veterinary education. After veterinary school, Dr. Hayden completed a one year internship in small animal medicine and surgery at the Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Ventura, CA. She has been practicing in Los Angeles for the past 7 years, then in 2008, moved to San Diego and began working for Banfield, The Pet Hospital. She has 3 cats: Mia, Eli and Georgia. In her spare time she enjoys working out, bicycle riding, knitting and geocaching.
