Doctors
Ani Abraham, DVM
Dr. Abraham has been practicing at Beach Park Animal Hospital since 2002. She grew up in India, and currently resides in Northern Illinois. Dr. Abraham received her undergraduate degree from St. Gregorious College Kerala, India in 1988 and her DVM from the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences Kerala, India in 1994. After graduating from veterinary school Dr. Abraham performed her clinical studies at Oklahoma State University. Our patients are truly lucky to have such a dedicated veterinarian!
Dr. Abraham's medical interests include ophthalmology and soft-tissue surgery. She truly loves helping her clients and their pets. Dr. Abraham spends her leisure time reading, teaching and participating in activities at her church. She also likes to spend time with her friends, family and pets, which include 2 parakeets.
Laurie Giumento, DVM
Dr. Giumento has been part of the Beach Park Animal Hospital team since December of 2008. Hailing from Orchard Park, New York, she now happily resides in Grayslake, Illinois. She pursued her undergraduate studies at St. Bonaventure University and her veterinary studies at Ross University, earning her DVM in 2003. Prior to joining us, she has practiced at veterinary hospitals in both New York and Illinois. She enjoys establishing close relationships with her clients and their pets.
Dr. Giumento has special interest in internal medicine (especially ultrasound and cardiology), soft tissue surgery, and emergency medicine. Her pastimes outside of work include running, spinning classes, weight training and spending time with her husband Jason and their many pets: a Bernese Mountain dog named Mikayla, a Lab Pointer mix named Gunter, a Chihuahua named Chloe and a thoroughbred mare named Dancer who she shows in local hunter/jumper shows!
