Doctors
Dr. Lorie Portugal
Dr. Lorie got her B.S. in Biology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. She then graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 1992. She opened Critter Care in Thorndale in April 1997. Dr. Lorie has a laid back approach to the animals she sees, trying to make their visit to the office unstressful. Clients will often see her sitting on the floor with their pet in her lap. She lives in the area with her two children and breeds Standard poodles.
Suzan Andrews
Suzan grew up in upstate New York and graduated from Delhi as a certified animal health technician. She has worked with Dr. Lorie for 14 years and has helped start the office of Critter Care. Sue serves as head technician and manages all surgery cases.
