Doctors
Dr. Irvin Herling
Dr. Herling, a Baltimore native, has been practicing veterinary medicine since 1972. During his 35 year career he has, not only practiced companion animal medicine, but contributed to his profession by serving on the Board of Animal Control, Directing the Veterinary Technician program for the State of Maryland and being a member of the Department of Surgery at Sinai Hospital. Although he enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, he specializes in minimally invasive surgery, imaging, and oral surgery.
Dr. Deborah Tierney
Dr. Tierney grew up in Baltimore, graduating from the Institute of Notre Dame. She then moved to West Lafayette Indiana where she received both a Bachelors of Agricultural Science degree and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Purdue University. She has practiced companion animal medicine in the Baltimore area for over 15 years receiving numerous local and national veterinary awards.
Dr. Carine Klimentidis
Dr. Klimentidis was born in NewYork and then moved to Houston, TX where she was raised. She is of French and Greek descent and has spent many summers in France with relatives and friends. She went to veterinary school at Texas A&M University and graduated in May 2004 and was welcomed to the DocSide family in 2005. She has three pets: Riley, Ginger and Simon and in her free time likes to cook, garden, take her dog to the park, and horseback ride. Her special interests include feline internal medicine and behavior.
Dr. Libby Johnson
Dr. Johnson was born in Illinois and later moved to Tennessee where she grew up and went to school. She graduated from the University of Tennessee, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 and joined a busy animal hospital in Phoenix, Arizona. She has extensive experience in soft tissue surgery, emergency medicine, infectious diseases and pain management. Dr. Johnson moved to Maryland with her two cats and dog Olive in 2009 to join DocSide. She loves the outdoors and is an avid runner and hiker.
While enjoying all aspects of veterinary medicine her particular interests include internal medicine and Ultrasound
