Lynne Silkman - Veterinary Technician

Born in NYC, I grew up in Connecticut and moved to the Tampa Bay area in 1989. My love for wildlife quickly led me to Lowry Park Zoo where I spent 8 years doing manatee rescue and rehabilitation along with caring for a variety of native Florida wildlife. When Disney opened the Animal Kingdom in 1998, I joined the nursery staff raising mostly exotic African hoofstock and endangered African bird species. Along the way I developed a love for bats and continue to rehab these often misunderstood creatures. Since 2003, I have been working as a Veterinary Technician in private practice and joined Dr. Tyson in October of 2007 to help with the launch of her practice. I reside in Dade City along with my 3 dogs, 3 cats, and 1 husband.
