Description
All of our staff members are kind and empathetic to all pets. We also take the time to get to know all of our patients as well as their owners. We love to hear about your pet's life at home too! Most of our staff members have gotten to know about our clients families, as well as clients learning about ours. That not only makes for a more relaxed trip to the vet, but also helps us with your pet's veterinary care. By knowing our clients and patients so well, we can diagnose problems faster and without unnecessary tests. We also perform the entire examination in the room with you. Many veterinary clinics remove the patient from the owner for nail trims, blood draws, and even ear cleanings. We do all of these in the room with you, so you can be with your pet the entire time. We understand that our patients are your children and we treat them as such.
Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic also stands above all competitors by providing many complimentary services with every examination. We believe that a full examination should always include these services!

Doctors
Dr. Christina Lehner
Hello, my name is Dr. Christina Lehner. I graduated from veterinary school at the University of Wisconsin- Madison (go Badgers!!) in May, 2009. I grew up in Milwaukee and have enjoyed animal rescue and volunteering at the Waukesha Humane Society since childhood. Animals are such amazing creatures that captivate and touch our hearts, they are truly the best patients!
At home my husband and I have 3 adorable cats, Mr. Miagi (Himalayaian), Oliver (DSH) and our newest addition, Miss Kitty (Persian) who we recently rescued. Outside of the hospital, I enjoy the outdoors and athletics. In addition to being a competitive longtrack speedskating, I also enjoy triathlons, cycling, and cross country skiing. I’m excited to meet you and your pets & am proud to be a part of the Hales Corners Veterinary team.

I have been practicing veterinary medicine since 1991, owning my own practice since 2000. I have a passion for taking care of
small animals and I have a special interest in surgery. I bought the practice in March 2008. I plan to update and utilize new technology
to better patient care, but keep the one-on-one bedside manner the same. I appreciate the way Dr. Penegor practices medicine,
and will try and keep the same values implemented for years to come.

I have been practicing veterinary medicine for 27 years. Throughout most of this period, I have divided my time equally between
large and small animal medicine. In 1998 my wife and I sold our busy small animal practice in West Allis, WI to pursue other
interests. Since then I have continued to practice part-time at the Cedarburg Veterinary Clinic, in both large and small animal
medicine. In 2001 I received certification from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection as a
aquatic veterinarian. I provide aquatic medical services for private and DNR-operated hatcheries.
Dr. Tracy Hurley
I graduated in 2003 from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine with high honors. I recently moved to the area after practicing small animal medicine and surgery in upstate New York for over 6 years. I also volunteered at various shelters performing soft tissue surgery. My interests include internal medicine, dermatology and preventative care. I am very excited to be a part of the Hales Corners Veterinary Clinic's team.
