Have A Heart is proud to offer a variety of veterinary medical procedures to include digital dental radiography, ultrasound, medication prescriptions, sophisticated laboratory equipment, as well as soft tissue and orthopedic surgeries.
The doctors and staff at Have A Heart are committed to provide excellent customer service while offering the finest veterinary care possible. The doctors promote the well being of pets and their families.
Our Practice manager is compassionate and strives to offer the best in customer service to our clientele.

Since Dr. David McGrath has acquired this facility in 2006 he has continued to invest in the building and equipment to offer comprehensive services. He also believes in and invests liberally in continuing education for the entire staff.
Have A Heart Animal Hospital is also concerned about our community. We offer scout troops and the area school system(s) tours of our facility to help teach our youngsters animal care and the many career opportunities in the veterinary medical field. We are also willing to go into local school systems to speak about the many faces of veterinary medical care.

Doctors
Dr. David McGrath - Owner
Dr. McGrath graduated with a BA from Cornell University and received a MS from Tufts University. Dr. McGrath returned to tufts University and was awarded his DVM in 1986.
Dr. McGrath is a member of numerous local, regional and national veterinary organizations. he is also trustee at the Museum of Science and on the board of overseers at Tufts University School of Veterinary medicine.
Dr. McGrath's our of office activities include spending time with his family, surfing the internet and playing computer games.
Dr. Paul Pelletier
Dr. Pelletier graduated from Rensselaer Polytechnic in 1997 with a BS in Biology and psychology. Following graduation, he moved to the Boston area where he worked at Tufts University School of Medicine as a research technician.
As an under graduate at Rensselaer, Dr. Pelletier excelled academically. He was inducted into the Rensselaer medical Honor society and was awarded a position on the Dean's List of distinguished Students.
A 2002 graduate of Tufts University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Pelletier is a general veterinary practitioner at Have A Heart Animal Hospital. During his leisure time ,he enjoys hiking and spending free time with his family and his dogs Bentley and Rodney.
Dr. Susan O'Dell
Dr. O'Dell graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Michigan Honor College with a BS in Biology. She was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Michigan State University in 2007. During veterinary school, she pursued an interest in population control and low cost spay and neuter clinics.
Dr. O'Dell's professional interests include dental surgery, soft tissue surgery and client education. She is currently pursuing certification in canine rehabilitation. She is a member of the AVMA, MVMA and NHVMA. Dr. O'Dell treats dogs and cats and other small mammal patients at both Have A heart and Main Street Animal Hospital.
Originally from Michigan, Dr. O'Dell now lives in Haverhill with her husband Sean, daughter Gracie and her four furry family members named Brisa, Biggie, Dingo and Barley. In her free time she enjoys traveling, running and spending time with her family.
