Donna Warren D.V.M.

Dr. Warren was born and raised in Charlotte as the middle of three girls. Her parents were from the Boston area which explains the lack of an accent. Her family still lives nearby for the most part. She has a younger sister who is an engineer in Mooresville and her father and stepmother live in Davidson. Her father is often seen helping out around the clinic. Donna has an older sister in finance who works in Chicago.

Donna attended South Mecklenburg High School and graduated with a B.S. in Animal Science from N.C. State University. She graduated from NC State Veterinary School and has the same two children as Dr. Hemstreet. She also includes their Doberman Sarah as one of the children but has no claim on the cat Robbie.

Donna is an avid reader and enjoys camping and traveling. Her single private passion is gourmet cooking and takes every opportunity to create something new and exotic in the kitchen.Do

Kay Wahl D.V.M.

Kay Wahl D.V.M.

Kay is a "retired" Army brat, born in San Francisco and moving 17 times before settling in Indiana. Her parents were both originally from Kansas, so she claims a mid-west heritage.

Kay attended Carmel High School, then was accepted to Purdue University, where she graduated from Vet School in 1980. She did not receive a bachelor's degree, because Kay was accepted to Vet School after just 2 years of undergraduate studies.

After practicing in Florida for 18 years and owning Deerfield Animal Hospital, Kay and her family moved to North Carolina to pursue a quieter, more bucolic lifestyle.

Kay and her husband, Tim, have 2 daughters; Maggie, a student at UNC-Charlotte and Emily, who attends University of Florida.
The family owns and operates Davidson Equestrian Center, a boarding and training facility on June Washam Road. The Wahls include in their family 2 English setters, a golden retriever mix, a Chinese Crested (Mr. Pink!), too many cats and "way" too many horses amd donkeys!

Kay enjoys taking riding lessons in her spare time and spending as much time as possible outside.
