Stoney Creek Animal Hospital has been serving clients in NE Charlotte since 1987 but our present hospital opened in 2000.

Our surgical suite contains modern equipment similar to that found in human operating rooms.
Doggie DayCare- Our hospital has both indoor and outdoor play areas. Our outdoor yard is covered in K9 Grass artificial turf.
Laboratory- our in-hospital lab allows us to perform sample analysis rapidly when needed.
Ultrasound Imaging- advanced diagnostic equipment enables us to diagnose problems with greater speed, efficiency and certainty.
Doggie DayCare- indoor area
Kitty Condo Boarding- view from the outside; all of our kitty boarders have a window view.
Radiology- radiographs (x-rays) are used daily in our hospital to aid in diagnosing your pet's problems
Pharmacy- we stock a complete supply of medications for rapid treatment of all your pet's needs.
Hydro-Massage bath- treat your dog (or cat) to a "spa day" and have him/her looking and smelling great
K9 Boarding- all of our dog runs are showered in natural light from glass block windows
Doctors
Dr. Rick Beldegreen
Dr. Rick Beldegreen received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University and his veterinary degree at the University of Florida in 1985. He moved to Charlotte in 1986 and opened Newell Hickory Animal Hospital in NE Charlotte in 1987. After his veterinary business outgrew his first hospital location, he built his "dream hospital", Stoney Creek Animal Hospital, which opened during the summer of 2000.
Dr. Beldegreen has a special interest in soft tissue & orthopedic surgery. In addition to caring for his canine and feline patients, Dr B has volunteered his veterinary services to the Carolina Raptor Center since 1987. He often performs orthopedic surgery on these birds of prey, repairing broken legs and wings on injured hawks, eagles and owls.
Pre-empting his veterinary career, Dr B spent 7 years as the Supervisor of Animal Care for Sea World in Orlando, Fla. where he helped supervise the daily care of whales, dolphins, seals, walrus, manatees and an avian collection of waterfowl, flamingos, macaws, and penguins.
When not at work, Dr. B can often be seen working up a sweat at the downtown YMCA. Dr B's family consists of his wife Gigi; daughters Erica and Loren; dogs Kodi & Tanner.
