Doctors
Dr Angelina Wong
Dr Angelina Wong was born and raised in Los Angeles. She worked with dog rescue organizations and was a veterinary technician throughout high school and college. After graduating from UC Berkeley with a bachelor of science in biology, she realized her dream to help animals by obtaining a doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Florida. A year long internship at the Veterinary Medical and Surgical Group in Santa Barbara and a short stay at the Los Angeles Zoo followed. She then found her home among the friendly clients, cute patients and caring staff of the Washington Dog & Cat Hospital, where she works four days a week(MON-TUES-THUR-FRI). Her special interests are soft tissue surgery and emergency medicine. She loves to come in everyday to meet new patients, talk to clients, diagnose cases and make your pets feel better when they are sick. She hopes to meet you and your 4-legged furry loved ones soon.
DR. AMY BEDNAREK
Dr. Amy Bednarek is a Los Angeles native and has been an associate at Washington Dog & Cat Hospital since July 2006. After a 12 year career in the entertainment business, she decided to follow her true passion for animals and pursue veterinary medicine. Dr Bednarek received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Kansas State University in 2006 and has never looked back. Her free time is spent with her husband, two young children, her elderly labrador retriever and her cat "Monkey Mc Gunkey". She enjoys biking, hiking and the beach. She enjoys coming to work everyday and making a difference in a pet's life.
DR JEFFREY MARKS
Dr. Marks has been the managing director of the Washington Dog and Cat Hospital for 29 years. Dr. Marks' special interests include orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, diseases of the ears and dermatology. He is a second generation veterinarian and has worked at Washington Dog and Cat Hospital since 1967 when he was just a 12 year old helping his father, Dr. Alan Marks. Dr. Marks was born in Detroit, MI but considers Los Angeles his home. He feels that clients who bring their pets to Washington Dog and Cat Hospital are not just clients but rather they are like part of the family. Dr. Marks graduated from Michigan State University (Go Spartans) in 1976 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology and went on to receive his veterinary degree in 1980.
