What are Query Rules?
Query rules are an “If This, Then That” framework that lets you configure rules to implement business logic and augment the search algorithm. Each query rule has a “criteria” and one or more “actions.” If the criteria of a rule are met, then all of the corresponding actions are performed. These rules are applied in addition to natural language understanding.

Query Rules layers a flexible rules-based system on top of Yext Answers so that users can configure search results to optimize for business goals. For example, if a customer searches for “call customer support,” you can boost the results for “Live Chat” instead so that they show up first.
