Last week we had the pleasure of hosting Founder/President, Minter Dial, of the Myndset Company for a YextTalks. In a session led by Yext CMO, Jeffrey K. Rohrs, Dial provided a whirlwind tour of new global technology trends and how they are changing lives, cities, societies, and enterprises.
Dial's new book, Futureproof: How To Get Your Business Ready For The Next Disruption, details the major disruptive forces currently facing us. In it, Dial defines these forces, maps them out, and puts them into context. He also paints a complete picture of how companies can use disruption in the marketplace to their advantage.
A renowned international speaker, Dial detailed the increase in technology companies around the world over the last decade –for instance, 100 million start-ups exist globally today. Dial also emphasized the importance of innovation, and how we must use technology to be socially and environmentally responsible in order to build a better world for everyone. That, Dial explained, is how businesses will become future proof.
Minter shed a light on some fascinating new technology initiatives and provided an understanding of how technology is evolving.
In order to remain relevant and to have your company stand the test of time, Dial noted that an organization should always turn to their business's "true north" and focus on their purpose. "With all these innovations out there, it's important to keep an eye on what's important and worth it," he noted.
