After one of the most challenging years in memory, we are delighted to announce that Yext has been recognised as a centre for Excellence in Wellbeing by Great Place to Work®.
This year the Excellence in Wellbeing award reflects Yext's dedication to supporting and guiding our Yexters' wellbeing throughout the pandemic, both in the workplace and at home. This includes everything from mental health support, Employee Resource Groups, leadership transparency, improved work-life balance and social justice.
The award recognises our continued efforts to ensure that wellbeing is at the centre of our culture and everything we do. Standout initiatives that have played a key part in this achievement include Expand – our parent-focused employee resource group, aimed at helping parents balance work and home – and Elevate – our group for black employees to empower one another and share personal experiences. Other initiatives include: a subscription to Calm, a meditation app designed to support mental wellbeing, for all employees; Juneteenth being made a company holiday in recognition of our black employees and making our offices covid-secure.
Thrilled by the news, Jon Buss, Managing Director of EMEA, said: "To have been recognised for our excellence in wellbeing not only for three consecutive years, but after such an incredibly difficult year for all due to the pandemic, is a true testament to not only our dedication to our Yexters, but our Yexters' dedication to each other. Our people are our biggest asset and it's only by ensuring they are put first that we can create our fun and dynamic "think big, learn fast and get stuff done" culture.
"The list – which celebrates UK employers that are leading in workplace wellbeing – is a benchmarking tool for employers and so we are honoured to be awarded for our commitment to wellbeing. Following such a turbulent year for many of our employees, it's never been clearer that they truly are the heart of everything we do, and we'll continue to strive to create a place of work that our people love, and supports them."
This achievement marks the third award Yext UK has received for Excellence in Wellbeing, as well as being recognised as a Great Place to Work for the past two years.
Recognition as a centre for 'Excellence in Wellbeing' is dependent on employees completing the Great Place to Work® Wellbeing Index survey designed to measure the levels of wellbeing in the workplace. Comprising 17 statements of personal perceptions, the survey seeks employees' experiences and views on the six key dimensions that underpin wellbeing: Work environment, Financial security, Mental and physical health, Interpersonal relationships, Work-life balance and Fulfilment at work.
