It's 12:00 pm. Do you know how your listings are performing?

You don't own Yelp, or Google, or Facebook — or any of the other places your brand appears online apart from your website. Your listings are a fundamental extension of your brand, yet at the same time, they are separate from you. So it's never been possible to get a centralized view of how consumers are interacting with your brand across all these different channels. That is, until now.

With our reimagined Analytics offering, part of our Spring '17 Release, you can now see how consumers view and interact with your business everywhere they find it online. Today, we'll dive deep into how you can use Yext Analytics to get more insight into your listings than ever before.

When we say "insight," we mean a couple of things. Within Analytics, we show you two primary categories of Listings insights: status and engagement.

See the status of all your listings, in one place.

At the very top of the Listings tab within Analytics, the first thing you'll notice are high-level Listings metrics (how many attributes you store in Yext, how many total changes have been been made to those attributes, how many listings are live, and how many updates have been made across all of your listings). These stats give you an immediate impression of the tremendous scale and reach of listings — which exceeds even that of your corporate website. Whether you are a daily user, or a CMO doing a quarterly review, the value of everything you manage with Yext is right there for you to see.

Moving down, we've given Listings action items their own section. Now, you can immediately see what you need to do to keep your listings up-to-date, and see any issues that we've caught. You can fix your data, complete any additional actions (such as linking accounts) that are required to go live on certain publishers, and review suggestions that users have made to your listings — all directly from this overview page. This is also where you'll see any duplicates that have been detected for suppression.

Next, we display more detailed listings statuses. How many of your listings are live, processing, or opted out? Everything is laid out in one easy-to-read chart that expands, letting you dive deeper into each segment.

2. Discover new insights (1)

One chart to rule them all.

Learn how consumers engage with you.

Once you've checked that your Listings are in good shape, the next step is to understand how consumers are engaging with your listings across all of the different sites, maps, and apps where they appear.

For engagement we are looking at who, what, and how:

  • Who is viewing your listings? What is the breakdown of age and gender across your audience?

  • What are they doing on your listings? Are they getting driving directions? Making phone calls? Clicking through to your website?

  • How are they getting to your listings? Are they searching for branded or unbranded queries? What devices are they using?

The entire page can be filtered by location, so that you can view stats for listings corresponding to certain locations, or all of your locations at once.

Make smarter decisions.

Ultimately the power of Yext Analytics for Listings isn't about the data — it's about what you do with it. Now, using demographic data, you can better tailor your listings content for the consumers who see you in search. Test new promotions based on audience demographics. Find your niche on Facebook and ensure that the next batch of content you produce that falls into that niche is promoted heavily on social media.

You know best when it comes to your your brand's unique goals. With this bird's eye view of your listings landscape, you'll be able make decisions backed up by hard data. You'll arrive at decisions quicker, and act on them with more confidence.
