ECL Menu Item Connector
This connector will allow you to create Menu Item entities in Yext Content from your ECLs.
The Yext platform allows users to store Menu data in organized lists called Enhanced Content Lists (ECLs). These ECLs are optimized for Listings management, but as the Yext platform has evolved we want to ensure users can push data stored into their ECLs into all of their Yext products, including Search, Pages, and Chat.
The ECL Menu Connector pulls menu data from the ECLs in your account and converts them into entities within the same account. Full menu data includes fields such as menu name, id, currency, section, and item data. This connector will not delete your ECLs upon creation of the entities, and your ECLs will continue to power your listings across platforms. By converting your ECLs into entities, you will have increased flexibility for adding menu data to your other Yext products.
This app will keep your menu information up to date, and can be paired with the Menu Item connector to link full menu entities to menu item entities.
All built-in configuration is customizable post-installation.
Before installing this app the following are required:
Create an app in your Yext account (Developer Console > Add App > Grant read-only permissions to the Knowledge API Entities Endpoint).
Copy the app’s API key (API Credentials > API Keys > Show API Key).
Follow the steps below to install this app:
Click the Install button.
Enter the following information (you will be prompted):
-Your Yext API key (copied in step 2 above). - Authorize the changes to your account and click Submit.You will be redirected to your connectors page once you click Submit. Click in to the connector, then click "Run." Once the run has completed, you will see all of your new Menu Items as entities in your account!
Feel free to edit the configuration to customize the setup and field mappings for your account.
Once the connector has run you are finished! The connector will run comprehensively each day unless you change the settings.
