Yext announced today that Jonathan Cherins has joined the company as Executive Vice President of Small Business & Partner. Cherins will be responsible for running both the Small Business and Partner channels in the U.S. as the company continues to expand its product suite and strengthen its international presence.
Cherins brings extensive experience in sales leadership and go-to-market execution at high-growth companies in the Information, Media, and SaaS industries. Prior to joining Yext, Cherins served as CMO, General Manager of Reservation Solutions, and EVP of Americas & Enterprise at TravelClick, the leading global provider of data, ecommerce and Internet solutions to the hospitality industry, and played a critical role in the successful sale of TravelClick to Thoma Bravo in 2014. From 2002 to 2010, he held a variety of leadership positions at Dun & Bradstreet, most recently serving as the Head of Global Risk Management. Prior to D&B, Cherins was a founding employee at Juno Online Services, where he built the first digital ad sales team for the free e-mail company and was responsible for all marketing, distribution, and product development leading up to the company's IPO in 1999.
"We're thrilled to be adding Jonathan to our executive team, and are confident that his deep leadership experience across sales, product, and marketing will be critical in helping Yext realize its ambitious growth goals," said Howard Lerman, Yext Co-Founder and CEO. "Jonathan has the ideal skillset and proven track record in scaling tech companies to help us successfully transition from high-growth company to global enterprise."
"Yext's team, products, and vision make it the clear market leader and one of the most exciting companies in the tech industry," said Cherins. "I couldn't be happier to be joining this tremendous team, led by Howard Lerman and Brian Distelburger, at such a critical time."
Cherins holds a BA degree in English from the University of Michigan, and received his MBA from Columbia University.
