TL;DR: As of May 13, 2026, Apple Business delegation is available for Yext channel partners. That means they can now connect their clients' Apple Business accounts through Yext — unlocking the complete set of Apple Maps management features.
What is Apple Business?
Apple Business is Apple's platform for allowing businesses to manage how their brand and location appear across Apple Maps, Siri, Spotlight, Wallet, and other Apple apps and services. By default, Yext syncs basic location data to Apple using Yext's own account.
Delegation takes things further.
According to Apple's own data, brands that claim their Apple Business accounts see 30% more views on their Apple Maps place card compared to unclaimed listings. For partners managing hundreds or thousands of locations, delegation through Yext is the most efficient way to help clients realize that lift at scale.
What gets unlocked with delegation?
When a client links their Apple Business account through Yext, Apple treats that data with the highest level of confidence. That translates directly to fewer data discrepancies (and the potential for increased visibility).
Once a client links their Apple Business account, a whole new set of capabilities opens up.
Higher data priority. Apple prioritizes your clients' data — keeping listings accurate and consistent.
Performance analytics. If supported by your integration, delegation will give clients access to location insights — all integrated into Yext's Report Builder with up to 13 months of historical data.
Showcase posts. If supported by your integration, clients can publish promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns directly on their Apple Maps place cards — complete with clickable calls to action. It's an organic channel for reaching customers right at the moment of discovery.
More branding control. Clients can add location-specific cover photos and write polished business descriptions for their locations.
Why this matters for Yext partners
Partners now have full parity with direct accounts, and it opens up real new service opportunities: Apple analytics reporting, branding customization available via Apple Business, and Showcase post management are all services you can layer into existing client relationships — helping clients easily drive more visibility.
The account linking flow is also built with security in mind. Clients connect their own Apple Business accounts without ever sharing Apple credentials with you. You generate a setup link, send it to your client, and they complete the connection on their own.
How to get started
Use the Optimization Task flow to generate a setup link and have your client complete the connection themselves. Once they do, the Apple Company ID, Brand ID, and Linked Account fields auto-populate across all associated entities, and data starts flowing right away.
Before delegation, clients will need an Apple Account tied to a business email and to have created an Apple Business account in the Apple Business portal. Then, they'll need government documentation (like a Taxpayer Identification Number) and verification through one of Apple's accepted methods.
