Query rules are an "If This, Then That" framework that lets you configure rules to implement business logic and augment the search algorithm. Each query rule has a "criteria" and one or more "actions." If the criteria of a rule are met, then all of the corresponding actions are performed. These rules are applied in addition to natural language understanding.
In Yext Search
Query Rules layers a flexible rules-based system on top of Yext Search so that users can configure search results to optimize for business goals. For example, if a customer searches for "call customer support," you can boost the results for "Live Chat" instead so that they show up first.
