Redox App for Review Generation

Automatically send post-appointment review invitations with the Redox App.

Redox exists to improve healthcare by uniting patients and providers through easily accessible technology. Technology can dramatically improve healthcare. And when done right, technology removes distractions so providers can focus on what’s important: their patients. Redox Engine enables health systems to connect their Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems with other systems via API. By leveraging the Redox + Yext integration, you can now sync patient information from your EHR instance into Yext to send review invitations in real time. Save time and manual effort by automatically requesting reviews from your patients once an appointment is complete.

To use this app, you must have a Yext account with Review Generation and Redox purchased.

If you're using this app for the first time, contact your CSM to kick off building your EHR connection with Redox! Once you've set everything up, here are the steps to get started.

  1. Navigate to the App Directory and locate the Redox EMR Integration for Reviews app.

  2. Click “Install”, then “Install on Yext.”

  3. You will be prompted to authorize the app to have permissions to send review invitations from your Yext account as well as adding a custom field. Click “Authorize”.

  4. Configure integration according to your preferences. You will be asked the following things:

Redox Source ID - Redox-specific information. Please be sure to obtain both the Source ID and Destination ID from your Redox Integration Manager. We will not be able to receive data from Redox without this ID.

Redox Destination ID - Redox-specific information. Please be sure to obtain both the Source ID and Destination ID from your Redox Integration Manager. We will not be able to receive data from Redox without this ID.

Provider Identifier - This field will be used to identify the Healthcare Professional entity in Yext for which Yext will send a review invitation. By default, the system expects NPI from Redox and searches for the entity with the corresponding NPI in Yext. However, if your EHR-Redox connection does not provide the NPI of your providers, you should store the provider identifier in some custom field in Yext, and select this custom field here. Yext will then look up the entity with the provided identifier in the selected custom field.

Patient Admin Data Model - Invitations will be triggered when an inpatient visit status is changed to Discharged in your EHR.

Scheduling Data Model - Invitations will be triggered when a scheduled appointment status is updated to Completed in your EHR. Please note that if appointment statuses are not reliably updated in your EHR, you may want to also consider the batch option below.

Batch Options - Appointments will be fetched from your scheduling system at the scheduled cadence, and invitations will be created for any appointments which were scheduled for the period since the last batch of invitations. Please note that selecting both Real-Time and Batch Scheduling Messages can occasionally lead to duplicate invitations being sent. To avoid sending duplicate invitations, you can set a Maximum Contact Frequency in Account Settings.

Contact Method - The contact method which will be used to send the review invitation, if the information is present. If the contact information for the selected contact method is not included for a given patient, we will attempt to contact the patient using the alternative contact method.

Include Image - If set to Yes, SMS invitations will include the Brand Image. Please note that invitations including images typically require two SMS messages, which will count towards the account SMS limit.

Send Invitations from Healthcare Facilities - Choose whether to send invitations from Healthcare Facilities.

Send Invitations from Healthcare Professionals - Choose whether to send invitations from Healthcare Professionals.

  1. Click “Save.”

After you click "Save" you can exit out of the page. You have the option to edit the configuration fields at any time.

If you are going to send review invitations from both Healthcare Professionals and Facilities or if you would like to send review invitations from the same provider at different locations, you will have to fill out the Redox Healthcare Facility field on each entity that you would like to send review invitations from. After the app is installed, this field will automatically be present on Healthcare Professional and Facility entities. Then, you can add the Facility name to each entity by uploading a file or editing each entity.
