Sharepoint Site Pages Connector

Use this connector to pull in Pages from a Sharepoint Site.

Use the Sharepoint Site Pages Connector to pull all of your Pages’ metadata and content from a Sharepoint Site into your Yext account. Now you can automatically sync your Sharepoint data with Yext and search for your Sharepoint files and leverage your Sharepoint data as a source of truth!

Before you download the connector, ensure that you have linked your Microsoft Account to Yext by going to Content > Configuration > Linked Accounts > Microsoft. Ensure that Sites.ReadWrite.All and Files.ReadWrite.All are selected. You must also have the following features enabled for your account prior to download:

  • Spring ‘23 Sharepoint Native Source

  • Spring ‘23 File Field Type

  • External Permissioning

  • Authorized Search

Install the App

  1. Navigate to the App Directory in the Yext Platform and search for the Sharepoint Site Pages Connector.

  2. Review the app details and click Install.

  3. Click Next to allow the connector access to your Yext account.

  4. Provide the required information:

  • Microsoft Linked Account: This is the ID of the linked account you added prior to download, found in the Yext platform under Configuration > Linked Accounts > Microsoft.

  • Site ID: This is the ID of the Sharepoint Site that contains the items you want to fetch. You can input a dummy value as you will retrieve it later. If you already know your Site ID, feel free to provide the input.

  1. Click Authorize. You will be redirected to the Get Sharepoint Site ID Connector.

Finalize the Sharepoint Site Pages ConnectorConfiguration

  1. Select Edit Configuration of the Get Sharepoint Site ID Connector and navigate to Specify Selectors.

  2. You will be able to see all the Sites that you have access to along with their IDs. Under the "Cleaned Site ID" column, find and copy the ID of the Site you would like to pull files from.

  3. Navigate back to the Connector home page and click into the Sharepoint Site Pages Connector. Select Edit Configuration then navigate to Settings.

  4. Paste in your real Site ID as the input for the Site ID.

  5. Click Continue to bypass the rest of the connector configuration and then Save.

  6. Run the Sharepoint Site Pages Connector to pull in your Sharepoint Pages. You’ll see a summary of the entities pulled in. Check out the new entities created in Yext Content!
